We took a break from unpacking our new house to head to Jeff and Kate's annual Halloween party on Friday night. This year, we were finally prepared with costume ideas well ahead of time, so we didn't have to get stressed out (although the final parts of my costume didn't fall into place until a few hours before the party!). It was nice to get out of the house for awhile and see all the great costumes everyone had on!
We went in tandem this year, as a bee and bee keeper! Kevin's uncle Mark used to keep bees at their house, so we borrowed the uniform for the evening, and it looked great!

He thinks his get-up will protect him, but we all know who will win this battle!

Got him!

Our host Jeff went as the Pregnant Man. The resemblance is a little too uncanny!

Robin is the Ministry of Silly Walks, from the Monty Python sketch. He refused a video appearance, but his walk was quite silly!

Kate was a fairy, who liked to eat other fairies!

This is God's Gift to Women, my favorite costume of the night!

We had a great time, but were so exhausted from moving that we didn't stay out terribly late. On Halloween, we stuck close to home in anticipation of the bajillions of trick or treaters we thought we would get living out here. Alas, not many showed up, mostly teenagers. We got a few cute little kids, but no where near as many as we would get on Phinney Ridge. We will be eating a LOT of candy. Now we know! We did meet a couple of the neighbors who have young kids, which was nice, though they were all in costume so I'll have to be reintroduced later! Hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend!

Looks like a great time! I always have wanted to be a costumed pair with my hubby, but it has yet to happen!
Can't wait to see the house photos!
