What a way to start the weekend!

Whew, it's been a big Friday for us! Kevin and I met up this afternoon at the King County Administration building to apply for our marriage license! We can officially get married in three days! That has made this wedding feel real for the first time. We have been doing really well with not getting stressed out about things, though we do need to start working a little harder in some areas....ahem, vows anyone? :) So that was exciting!

Then, Kevin was selected to be a contestant tonight for the Mariner's Homerun Inning Contest. Just for being selected, he won a gift card for a haircut and an Italian restaurant downtown. If the Mariner's hit a homerun in the second inning, he would win a flight for two on Kenmore Air for a tour of Seattle. If they hit a grandslam with the first three runners on board, then he would win a new car!

So I turned on the game and was listening to the pregame show (Kevin was still at work, poor guy!) and heard Mike Blowers say Kevin's name, like three times! How exciting to hear your almost husband's name on the radio! Then the game started and Kevin made it home. We were in the middle of cooking dinner (more on that below) when the second inning began. The first two players got out, so there went the chance for a car. Oh well! Well, then things started to get interesting! One right after another, Mariner's got on base, til the bases were loaded up! Raul Ibanez stepped up to the plate, and what does he do but hit a GRAND SLAM! Two outs too late for a new car, but Kevin won the Kenmore Air flight! AND, Zeek's Pizza gives away free pizzas to the first ten callers after a grand slam, so we both got on our cell phones and won an extra large pizza each! Woohoo! I got a voucher for mine, and Kevin picked one up for us to enjoy over the weekend! Yay!

What an exciting evening! We also made a delicious dinner, of course from none other than Eating Well. Grilled whole trout stuffed with lemon and rosemary (we didn't have fresh tarragon) with a side of white bean salad! Yum Yum! We ended up broiling the fish because it was getting late and we didn't want to deal with the charcoal. It turned out sooooo well! Feast your eyes!

Chef Kevin prepares the fish!

And then gets a little to comfortable, weirdo!

I made homemade roasted red peppers! It was really easy and they turned out quite delicious!

Showing off the white bean salad.

Kevin loves his Grand Salami pizza! Maybe a little too much...
