Life is Good: A Weekend in Photos

What a great weekend! Friday, we went to the Mariners game versus Oakland for Turn Back the Clock Night. All the way back to 1939, when we had the Seattle Rainiers and the Oakland Oaks. We got great hats, and the whole game had an old timey feel to it. They had only organ music, and didn't do any of the obnoxious crowd rousing sounds. It seemed like people were much louder on their own without the prompting. Our friends Danielle, Robin, Laura, and a couple of Laura's friends from Vancouver joined us, and even though the Mariners lost, we all had a great time!

Danielle and I show off our Rainiers caps!

Sadly, our rally caps didn't help the M's out, but we never lost our sense of humor!

Today, Danielle and I decided we needed to work off some of the kettle corn and peanuts we ate at the game, and headed off to do the Lake Union trail. We met at South Lake Union, and off we went! We stopped off in Fremont to check out the Fremont Sunday Market, where I picked up a couple birthday presents for some little men in my life, and then continued on around the loop, having a little snack near the houseboats on the east side of the lake. We had a really nice time, and the weather could not have been better! It was sunny the whole time, with a nice breeze. We both will sleep well tonight, about 10 miles logged!

Then this evening, Matthew and Terri invited us over for Indian Curry and homemade naan! What could be a better way to end a great weekend than great food and visiting with family? Matthew has been baking bread a lot lately, with great success, and decided to try his hand at naan, and boy am I glad he did! It was utterly fantastic! Terri made the curry, and Kevin and I loooooooved it! We now have their slow cooker on loan so we can make some ourselves! Terri is becoming quite to good little cook, and Kevin and I will never turn down an offer of dinner at their place! :) Thanks for having us over!

Naan!

Jackson of course was the center of my attention. He has officially learned the sign for dog, and even says "dah" when Sasha is around him. He always is definitely saying Nate, and he says "yeah!" a lot. He has improved his walking a ton since we saw him two weeks ago, he's practically running now! And he doesn't need to hold onto anything to get up, he's figured out the tripod method.
Always wants to play the guitar!

Jackson loves Nate, he just follows him around the house everywhere. Nate is playing a little peek-a-boo from the deck here, and Jackson loved it!

Nate and Terri got to see the Walking with Dinosaurs at the Key Arena last night, and Nate was super excited to show off pictures they took. He's turning 10 next Monday! I can't believe how quickly he's growing up! All in all, we had an awesome weekend, hopefully it extends into the week! We have a busy one, with another M's game tomorrow!
