Corbin turns 1!

Corbin celebrated his first birthday in style on Wednesday by making a trip down to Seattle with his parents and a bunch of his play group buddies and their moms to go to the zoo! We joined them, along with Grandma Susan and our friend Nikki. It was a fantastic day, and it was so much fun to watch Corbin jet around on his little quick feet and point at all the animals! He had a really great time, and was grinning ear to ear most of the day!

In the morning before everyone arrived, I harvested my first radishes. They are scrumptious! I like to eat them raw, with a tiny bit of salt. Tried some with butter as suggested by several people, but it was a little much for me. I prefer just the salt!


We also harvested our first pepper the night before to make some incredibly delicious tortas. Kevin handmade the tortillas, and then made a feast of a filling out of roasted chicken, tomatoes, black beans, jalapenos, mushrooms, and onion. Yum Yum!

Corbin slept hard back at our house, we actually had to wake him up to head out to dinner! I'm sure his little feet were worn out, he walked most of the day, and don't even think about trying to hold his hand, he'll wave you off! What a cutie! We are heading up to Bellingham tomorrow to have his birthday party, open some presents, and eat some cake! Woohoo!

We ended the evening at the Sounders game, which ended in a heartbreaking 3-all tie. We shoulda won. But the view was spectacular!
