We all needed a walk after that, so we headed down to the Ballard Locks, saw a few fishies swimming about the ladders. The boys played some monopoly, and then we grilled up burgers, and are now settling in to watch the Sounders play Chivas in LA. GO SOUNDERS!

First Garden Harvest
Not even summer yet, and we have basil enough to make the first basil burgers of the season!

YUM! We've had a great visit with Tristan this weekend. We went to the Mariners game last night with a whole crew of friends, then Tristan and Kevin and I chatted until the wee hours. I got up and went for a run again today (and shaved another 30 seconds off my time!) and then we headed to Mae's Cafe for a gluttonous breakfast!

At least I have the memory of the delicious basil burgers, not to mention two leftover patties, to take away the sting of the Sounders' loss.
Better eat them patties now, before the cold reality sets in.
We may never, ever, have our 1st Eleven on the field together again. At least the way things are going. Hurtado and Jaqua out for next week.
I did enjoy hearing Sigi scream at Freddie to get in the game and stop jabbering at the ref.
